A spoon designed to make meal time easier

Eating should be a simple task. However, the cognitive and various sensory impairments of Alzheimer’s may result in a variety of feeding issues. People affected by disease can eat less than they should and accidents with spilled food and tipped cups are common. The Eatwell adapted tableware set offers tableware especially designed to let people with Alzheimer's or other related diseases eat by themselves in an independent way. These spoons are designed in a way to match the curve of the Eatwell bowls to allow smooth and easy movements.

How does Eatwell help?

The Eatwell adaptive spoon improves the independence of our loved ones during meal time:

  • Eatwell is the result of four years of research and design.
  • Each detail is backed by research or evidence shown during the design process.

Useful for

  • People in the early or moderate stages of disease who experiment feeding issues
  • People affected by tremors or frequently drops food

Eugeria's Take

What impressed us the most with Eatwell is the research backing each tiny detail of its design. Shao Yao's story behind the concept of Eatwell was very moving, and it was clear to us that she is looking to help others affected by Alzheimer's disease.
